    FREE CHURCH CHAPLAIN'S REPORT, 1954. March, 1955. Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen, Again it is my pleasure to submit the following report of my work at the Hospital during the past twelve months. In carrying out my duties I have visited every Ward in the hospital, both in the main building and annexe at least once a week. There have been few requests for special visits and each request has been duly honoured. I am pleased to report that in spite of the very bad weather during the early weeks of the year, the attendance at the Sunday afternoon services has been very gratifying, although the average is slightly below that of last year. Once again I would like to pay a well-deserved tribute to our organist, Mr. K. N. Newson and his choir, who have been most loyal and consistent week by week. We were delighted to welcome the Rev. S. Myers, B.A., B.D., at our Harvest Festival service in September, and I am also personally indebted to the Rev. F. L. Page, who kindly deputised for me on the one or two occasions when I was unable to be present. It may be of interest to record that these Sunday afternoon services are now starting the sixth year of their inception, and we are encouraged to believe that they are appreciated and prove helpful. There is nothing of an outstanding nature to report as having happened during the year. We do not look for anything spectacular in our work, but we do our best at all times to establish contacts, encourage conversations and by personal interest seek to be of service in every way possible. Once more I woud like to record my thanks to Dr. McCulley, Mr. Read, Miss Parry, Mr. Watts and all other members of the staff for their support through¬ out the year, also the Rev. Cl. D.
