    Ought there to he superiors in every church ? Yes; it is well to have persons especially appointed, to teach, and to watch over the ac- complishment of, the principles they admit re- spectively. Does the society that changes its religious j)rinci])les, belong to the catholic church, of which it was a part f No, it forms a new church. Is it possible for any church to become uni- versal ? Yes ; that church will become universal, whose religious principles shall be founded on a knowledge of the true nature of man, which shall establish harmony among all the primary facul- ties of the mind, and which shall elevate religion to the rank of a science.
