The latter institution, which has conducted its large and valuable work at the northeast corner of Second Avenue and 19th Street, found it necessary to have substantially enlarged accommodations. Instead of constructing a new set of hospital buildings on another site it was decided to buy the spacious and well constructed Lying-In Hospital. Possession of this building will be given the Skin and Cancer Hospital when the Lying-In Hospital moves to its new building now in process of construction at 70th and Exterior Streets. EDWARD W.
