![[COPY.] Itfeg (to faut)«—To Her Majesty's Justices of the Peace assembled at the General Quarter Session oe the Peace, to be holden at Aylesbury, on Monday, the 1st day of July, 1867. THE REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF VISITORS ELECTED AT THE EPIPHANY SESSION, 1867, FOR THE PURPOSES OF THE LUNATIC ASYLUM AT STONE, FOR THE PAUPER LUNATICS OF THE COUNTY, UNDER THE STATUTE 16th & 17th VIC., cap. 97, ss. 22 and 62. SHEYVETH,—-That your Committee feel it to be their duty to lay before the Court, at the earliest practicable moment, an extract from a minute made by two of the Commissioners in Lunacy on their recent visit of inspection at the Asylum. The Commissioners, whilst reporting most favourably of the state and condition of the Establishment, point out in a marked manner that, owing to the continued increase in the number of patients, it appears to them that the exigencies of the Asylum will compel a further enlargement of the building, as well as other considerable altera¬ tions and additions to it. Your Committee, therefore, suggest that the Magistrates should well weigh the recommendations made by the Com¬ missioners, and, after due deliberation, give instructions to your Committee with reference thereto. (For the extract herein referred to see the full minute of the two Commissioners in Lunacy printed at pages, 5, 6, and 7.) The Committee have carried out the recommendation made by the Commissioners by the discharge of the patients not belonging to this County.
