I visit the Institution twice weekly and at other times when necessary. The average stay of patients in the Institution has been 29 weeks. In addition to the physical improvement, which is very considerable in these children, in the opinion of the Teacher they also benefit greatly educationally. Most of these children, owing to their physical condition, are more back- ward than the ordinary child, but thanks to their improved health and hygienic conditions under which they live, and the more individual attention they are able to receive, they leave the Sanatorium School, in most cases, fit for a higher standard than that on their admission, improvement in their response and brightness being most marked. The following Table gives details of patients treated at the Tuberculosis Sanatorium, Pinhoe: — Remaining under treat- ment 1/1/30. Admitted during the Year. Discharged during the Year.
