You may make the Oyl of a Mans Skulthus: Take the pavings or raft¬ ings of a Sfol that was never buried, put them in a Retort or Still Jo called, in as much white Wine as will fufice : Let them ft and in Balneo Maria?, that is a kettle of warm water for forne'time ; then diftilit in Sand till it is dry and you Jhdll find the Oyl fwimming upon the Water which ts drawn Anoynt your Noftrils within with this BaJfom every night, and it will ftrengtben the Brain won» ^There is another cheaper for to anoynt the Noftrils with: which is, . Take the Oyl of Orange Flowers two drams; white Wax one dram; melt them gently,and put there¬ to Oyl of Amber half a dram; of the ChymieAOyls of Sage and Rofemary of each fifteen drops ; Oyl of Spike five drops; mix them together- . , . It is alfo very good for the drawing away of the matter which breeds continually in the Brain, by an ifliie in the hinder pi?t of the neck. , v #, Laftly The Baths which come out of Brimftone, Nitre, Bitumen, as thofe called Belliucana, are very aood for the drying and {lengthening of the Brain if it be wafhed therewith for feme daies, af¬ ter General evacuations are made. Daily experience teacheth us that moft grievous Head-Difeafes comin° of cold Diftempers are thereby cured. It is profitable alfo to drink thofe Waters for the ftren°thening of the Stomach which alwaies do fympathize with the head.
