![Maternity Home. 41 cases were admitted to the home by the City Council at a cost of £204 6s. 6d., of which £35 10s. Od. was received back in part payment. Net cost £168 16s. 6d., plus subsidy of £50, being an average of £5 6s. 9d. per case. NURSING HOMES REGISTRATION ACT, 1927. T’he new Nursing Homes Registration Act came into force during the year, superceding the Maternity Homes Act. 1] Homes have been registered under the Act, and two Institutions have been exempted, as follows :— Nursing and Maternity Homes. Maternity Home. 4, Belmont Road. St. Olave’s Home. St. Mary’s Home. Southcroft, Heavitree Road. Stokeleigh, Old Tiverton Road. Belmont, Southernhay West. Grendon, Polsloe Road. Mowbray, Fore Street, Heavitree. St. David’s, 22, St. David’s Hill. Ernsborough House, Colleton Crescent. Exempted. Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital. Eye Infirmary. One application was definitely refused, and one application is still under consideration, pending compliance with the con- ditions under which registration is granted. Dental Treatment.
