In order to leave the matter entire^ ly without doubt, an extract from 18 common quart bottles of Devonshire cyder (firft firained through a cloth) which had been in my cellar more than three months, was prepared. This extratft, being allayed with the black flux, a quantity of Lead, weigh¬ ing four grains and an half, was found at the bottom of the crucible.
