A painting of a very similar composition, in the opposite direction, was offered for sale at Sotheby's, London, 3 July 1996, lot 132 as by Pieter de Bloot (unsold): in the database of the Rijksbureau voor Kunsthistorische Documentatie the painting is attributed to F. Verwilt, presumably on the evidence of this engraving
