There is a satis- factory diminution in the number of those due to Influenza, Bronchitis, and Pneumonia. While, with the exception of one due to Scarlet Fever, there is a complete absence of deaths due to any of the ordinary Zymotic diseases. Infant Mortality.-— Deaths under one year of age is very satisfactorily reduced from 107-1 per 1,000 births, for ]ast year, to only 40 per 1,000 births, the rate for England and Wales being 75. This improvement, great and satisfactory, points to a better sanitary condition of the town, better housing, better supply of milk, and to the good work done by the Infant Welfare Clinic.](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b29538932_0005.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
