Author's holograph MS. The MS. is in the form of a letter to Walter Hawkins, Esqre, archaeologist and numismatist [1787-1862].

Biographical note
The author was M.B. in London in 1832, M.R.C.P. in 1839, and was physician to the Royal General Dispensary, London. He wrote on the causes of epidemics in London (1838), but retired early, and travelled in Egypt.
