Barinuam Farm, an antient freehold, after- wards [John] Kendall’s, upon whose attain- der, 1 Henry VII. it was purchased by the Dingleys, in the reign of Henry VIII. BERKELEY’s, alias WatTerTON’s Lanps, granted by Thomas Lord Berkeley (fourth) to Philip'Waterton; in 1399 (1 Henry IV.) sold to Edward Huntley, James Bailey, Ro- bert Atkins, Richard Laurance, and William Harvey. Bevineron Farm. Hicks’s lands came to John Mallet, and, by his death, to Alice his daughter and heir, wife of Walter Kyrle, Esq. Hurne’s Lawns; the inheritance of Mary and Elizabeth, daughters and coheirs of Tho- mas Hurne, who died 4 Charles I. Wiruer’s Lanps were aliened, by Robert Wither, by fine 3 Edward II. to the Abbey of Kingswood, and became the inheritance of Edward Fust, Esq. WittoucuHBiz’s Lanps, late BowseEr’s, being divers lands, lying scattered, held of Lord Berkeley, as of his Manor of Ham, by suit to the Hundred Court, and the rent of 18s, 4d. a year, and are now the several inhe- ritances of William Thorpe, of Wanswell, who holds a close of pasture, containing seven acres, called Beddicroft, alias Berricroft, near Berkeley Town, purchased by George Thorpe, his father, of John Cluterbooke of Hinton, and Jane his wife, in- 40 Elizabeth (1597), who payes noe part of his chief rent. George Cluterbooke holds Hookstreet and Howmead, with two acres of arable; in all, about 18 acres, which he had from his father. — Wil- liam Atwoods holds about ten acres of arable, meadow, and pasture. — Thomas Tindall, son of Thomas, holds a house and four acres of land in Wanswell. — William Hurne holds one ground, called Dalliscroft, containing about five acres. ;
