![Diftillation of Honey. the Spirit, and the Oil of ffoney from its terreftri- ous part. Put four pounds of good floney into a large earthen body, and diftil the water ina moderate Sand-heat, until acid drops begin to come ; then it is good-to make the hair grow, youmuft either wet your Comb with it every day, or elfe dip a piece of Spunge into it, and therewith foak the roots of the hair. Take that which remains inthe Body, put it in- to an earthen Retort, or glafs one Coated, but onethat’s large enough for two thirds to remain empty, and place your Retort in a Reverberatory Furnace ;. then fitting a large Receiver, and luting the joints, begin the diftillation witha fmall fre for three: hours only to warm the Retort; then encreafe it by little and little, Spirits will come forth witha little black Oil, and fill the Receiver with Clouds ; continue the fire until al] is Come out that will, unlute the veflels, and feparate the Spirit from the black and ftinking Oil in a Tunnel lined with brown paper, (there is but very little Oily Keep them both in Viols: you will have twelve ounces of Spirit.
