![other Place whatfoever : Witnefs my Hand this 5th of May, 1666. John Creffet. Then he charges me in Pag. ibid. with be¬ ing a Good Ft How (according to his Senfe), and having Converfe with Women notorioufy fcandalous ; and alfo with many Fallacies pat upon poor Peo- pie as to the Place of my abode ; and feveral o- ther Things as true as thefe. To which my Anfwer is, That there is no Perfon that knows me, but will acquit me of being excefllve either, in Eating or Drinking; neither was I ever charged or fufpe&ed (till by this Gentleman, who puts his Name to no¬ thing, nor fee ms to care what he fays of Man, Woman, or Child) to be incontinent with Wo¬ men, or to have to do with any [[but my Wife] in all my Life-Lime. Then, as to the Fallacies put upon poor Peo¬ ple as to the Place of my abode, you your felf can acquit me of that Calumny, who have been pleafed oftentimes to do me the Honour (with feveral other Honourable, Reverend, and Worthy Ferfons) to come to Lincolns-Inn-Fields, whither for feveral Weeks 1 repaired five Days in the Week, where I laid my Hands on all that came, without regard of Perfons, that Peo¬ ple might not be di(appointed in hunting me up and down.
