Enumerate the extant works of Xenophon, mentioning the subjects on which they are respectively written. What is the general character of his style and merits as an histo- rian ? Give a sketch of the coasts of the ^Egean Sea, and of the most remarkable of the islands in it, giving the modern as well as the ancient names, and illustrating, more particularly, the First Book of the Hellenics. 4. Explain any peculiarities of construction which occur in the extracts (A.) and (C.). What cases are used absolutely in Greek ?
