Probably this occasional con¬ finement and premature liberation, when the disease is only quiescent, but not eradicated, may in some degree explain the manner in which it is frequently transmitted. It is not my intention in this place to enter on a dis¬ cussion of the subject, but leave the reader to form his own deductions. COERCION. Persons affected with insanity are often disposed to injure others; and on many occa¬ sions they are tempted to destroy themselves.
