The water evaporated to dryness, leaves a salt, soluble in muriatic acid, exhibiting the absence of silica Most of these experiments were repeated on the water, after it had been boiled for fifteen or twenty minutes, and when reduced by evaporation to one half or even less of its bulk, with nearly the same results.
