![works. The matter is still under consideration and will doubtless be satisfactorily dealt with shortly. There are 34 Factories and 20 Workshops in the district. Workshops 11 6 5 5 4 1 10 7 4 1 34 20 Total 17 10 5 17 5 54 The factories consist of 3 cotton spinning mills, 6 cotton weaving sheds, 1 woollen mill, 2 fulling mills, 6 dyeworks, 1 calico print works, 6 bleach works, 2 wheelwright's shops, 1 joiners' shop, 1 engineer's shop, 2 quarries, 1 firelighter's works, 1 spindle and fly maker's works, and 1 paper bag works. The workshops consist of 2 milliners, 2 barbers, 5 clog makers, 2 undertakers, 1 brewery, 1 tripe-dresser, 3 bakehouses, 1 plumber, and 3 dressmakers. There are no outworkers in the district. Appended to this Keport are the Annual Report of the Inspector of Nuisances and the various Tables required by the Local Government Board and the Home Office.
