![LUNACY DISTRICTS (SCOTLAND) ACT, 1887 [50 & 51 VICT. Ch. 39]. GOVAN. LUNACY DISTRICT. 1899. (4) REGULATIONS ISSUED BY THE GENERAL BOARD OF COMMIS- SIONERS IN LUNACY FOR SCOTLAND, IN REGARD TO THE GOVAN LUNACY DISTRICT. An application having been made to the General Board of Commissioners in Lunacy for Scotland by the Parish Council of the Parish of Govan Combination and by the District Lunacy Board of the Lunacy District of Govan praying them to appoint the said Parish Council to be the District Lunacy Board of the said Lunacy District, the Board, in virtue of the powers conferred upon them by the Lunacy District (Scotland) Act, 1887, and other Acts, and in accordance with the power reserved by them in Regulation 8 of an Order and Regulations in regard to the altering and varying of the Glasgow and Renfrew Lunacy Districts issued by them on 6th July 1888, and approved by Her Majesty’s Secretary for Scotland on 25th July 1888, do hereby make the following Regulations :— 1. Number 3 of the said Regulations is hereby cancelled, and instead thereof the Board appoint the Parish Council of the Parish of Govan Combination to be the District Lunacy Board for the Govan Lunacy District. 2. The existing Govan District Lunacy Board shall remain in office until the new District Lunacy Board shall come into office as hereinafter provided. 3. The new District Lunacy Board of Govan, consisting of the Govan Combina- tion Parish Council, shall come into office at a meeting to be called by the Clerk and held at Glasgow, on the day of the annual statutory meeting of the Parish Council in December 1899, or as soon thereafter as may be convenient, and shall at their first meeting elect a Chairman and Committees for the year. 4. The Govan District Lunacy Board shall in each subsequent year meet at Glasgow_in the month of December and elect a Chairman and Committees. 5. The Books, Minutes, Registers, Bank Accounts, and financial transactions generally of the Govan District Lunacy Board shall be kept entirely separate and distinct from those relating to the Govan Combination Parish Council.
