    Arnold’s Instrument or Appliance for the Cure of Sand Cracks in the Hoofs of Horses, f'c. The hoof is or may be prepared to receive the instrument by filing a groove thereon for same. Having now particularly described and ascertained the nature of my said inven¬ tion and in what manner the same is to be performed I declare that what I 5 claim is :— The new or improved instrument or appliance for the cure of sand cracks in the hoofs of horses or other animals composed of clips clamps or grippers A A1, on right and left hand screw threaded spindle B, with central nut 0, arranged, constructed and acting substantially as hereinbefore described and illustrated with reference to 10 the accompanying drawings together with any mere modification or modifications thereof.
