![TEMPORARY ACCOMMODATION Muirhead House, Linwood Seven families were accommodated against eleven discharged during the year, leaving seven families still in residence at 31st December. Of the families admitted, five had been turned out of furnished accommodation, one had to leave a tied house on the imprisonment of the husband and one was evicted from a County Council house. Of the families discharged nine were re-housed by the County Council, one by Barrhead Town Council and one was transferred to the Caretaker s House on the husband's appointment as Caretaker (part-time) The comparative position with the previous year is as follows - Adults In residence at 3 1/ 12/ 1954. 17 In residence at 3 1/ 12/ 1955. 14 Dependants 34 (11 families) 24 (7 families)] R. A.I. Annexe In addition to the above two adult females were in temporary accommodation at the R A.I Annexe at the commence- ment of the year Both left during the year but one was re-admitted in September. Six families were admitted as a result of being homeless but four left after a matter of days The children of one family were passed to the temporary care of the Children s Department.
