Yet it is true, that the belt Authorities that could be produced have been produced, the Authorities of the fa¬ mous Penfioner De Wit, that of Mr, Mun, that of Sir Jojiah Child, and that of Sir Walter Raleigh. Thefe are ali quoted in the appeal to the Land¬ holders , which I lately fent, with fome other Papers on the lame Sub¬ ject, to your Lordfhip. It is almoft needlefs to mention, even in general, who they were who oppofed the Excife, or from what Mo¬ tives.
