About this work
Description
This short film looks at the presence of house dust mites and assesses how they might affect asthma. The Brompton Hospital conducts a 'bronchial challenge' test in which asthmatic patients are given house dust mite extract and their breathing is assessed. We also see an allergic prick test being done on a young boy. Close-up footage shows the mite itself and advise is given on how to avoid it getting into bedding.
