About this work
Description
Rabies is an emotive word. In an attempt to decide whether Britain is justified in retaining its 70-year old quarantine laws the film looks at rabies control methods in Europe and considers alternative methods to Britain's strict quarantine rule. It concludes that Britain's present laws are maintained for the reassurance they provide and are not necessarily the only or the best way of safeguarding this country from the disease.
