About this work

Description

No. 2533 in a series of postcards published in Johannesburg by Braune & Lévy. The scene is that of the hall interior filled with numerous beds and soldiers. Three flags are hanging from a wooden balcony, the Union Jack in the centre. In this instance the card was posted in Pretoria by a Mrs. Pascoe to J. Hull in Leicester, England on 4th March 1907.
