Table III. shows the number of private and pauper lunatics, of whom we had official cognizance, at Ist January 1858, and at Ist January of each of the ten years 1865-1874 ; and the numbers of each category accommodated in establishments and private dwellings, distinguishing between males and females :— TABLE III. On the other hand, there is a decrease of 343 in the number of pauper lunatics, and an increase of 56 in the number of private lunatics in ordinary dwellings.
