SCARLET FEVER. There was a big reduction in the number of cases of this disease notified during the year; 95 as compared with 421 in 1938, and 381 in 1937. Admissions to lonteg Isolation Hospital numbered 93, while two patients were nursed at home. The Council’s hospital also accepted 14 cases of scarlet fever from adjoining Authorities. No death occurred, nor were any serious com- plications observed.
