Miss White, Deputy Super-! intendent, continues to give these classes at the Exeter Maternity i and District Nursing Home twice in the month. About half of all the pre-schoo ( children in the City and about three-quarters of the children under J 1 year old attend the child welfare centres. The babies under ]]• attending for the first time numbered 845, equal approximate!) r to 74% of the number of babies born in the City during the year r In all the clinics the number of children attending during the yea:I; was 2,652, making 17,716 attendances (including 286 at theii toddlers’ clinics).
