Receipt-Book, Italian: 16th century

Collection of medical receipts in Italian: preceded by notes on astrology and fortune-telling. A rough pen-drawing of the 'Wheel of Pythagoras' is on the 8th leaf; the first seven leaves contain scribbled alphabets. The date 1535 is given in the example on the 12th leaf.

1 volume 67 ll. 8vo. 141/2 x 101/2 cm. Modern vellum covers. Some leaves seem to be wanting, and others are bound in the wrong order: stained throughout, some margins frayed.
