    I might detail many as satisfactory cases, and of very long standing, treated by others, by other modes, with unsatisfactory results; but, of course, they would only be repetitions ; all I will add is, the patients’ gratitude in these cases is quite proportionate to the larger and more perfect success that attends the use of your instrument, and did I not derive much satisfaction myself by carry- ing out your ideas, I should not have troubled you with so long an epistle. * I am, Sir, Faithfully yours, B.
