A monthly periodical featuring an account of the fictitious 1640 voyage of Admiral Bartholomew de Fonte through the Northwest Passage which would not be discredited for a number of years. Arthur Dobbs, who sponsored Francis Smith's voyage to find the Northwest Passage in 1746, believed that this was proof that the passage existed.
