![COUNTER-IRRITANTS—co;i^mitecZ. Blistering Liniment. Powdered cantharides, one ounce. Olive oil, eight ounces. Digest over hot bath. Absorbent Blistering Liniment (a). Iodine, two ounces and a half. Iodide of potassium, one ounce. Camphor, half an ounce. Methylated spirit, one pint. Paint on the part to be blistered with a brush. Absorbent Blistering Liniment (b). Perchloride of mercury, forty grains. Methylated spirit, one ounce. Colour with alkanet. Painted on the part with a brush. Specially useful in reducing bony enlargements. Mustard Liniment. Mustard, four ounces. Oil of turpentine, five ounces. Digest ten days. Add linseed oil, q.s. Ointment of Red Iodide of Mercury. Biniodide of mercury, one pound. Olive oil, one pint. Mix well, and add— Melted lard, seven pounds. Ointment of Cantharides. Lai-d, four pounds. Resin, four pounds.
