The fliip’s company were ferved frefh beef • on Saturdays and Sundays; and fpruce beer , after the 8th.—^ The hofpital was a fhocking houfe, and under a very high hill, clofe to the river on the Point Levi fide. Before wc ar- rived, the fick feamen were taken into the ge- neral army hofpital.—On the 24th, the pleu- ritic patient was fent to the hofpital in a con- valefcent ftate ; and feven of them who were fent on the 8th, returned on board ; and on the 25th I applied to have them invalided. Two of the fever patients were fent fmall-pox patients to the hofpital: one of them, who was feized feveral days before with the fymp- toms which commonly appear before the erup- tion, had feen a man ill of the fmalLpox at the hofpital, who died there; but they are claffed fever patients, becaufe it was uncertain if it was the fmall-pox.—Thirteen in all were fent to the hofpital.
