The figures are all probably much below the actuals. Three hundred and seventy-nine prosecutions were made and 250 convictions obtained, the average fine working out at He. 14-1 on conviction. The inefficiency of prosecution in some municipalities is shown by the prosecution of 27 cases in Jorkat with only four convictions and total fine of twelve annas. Registration in hill districts. 10.
