Preserved At South-Lambeth neer London By John Tradescant, engraved coat-of-arms and two portraits by Hollar (one touched at fore-edge), head-line touched on N 4, signature of Peter Collinson, F.R.S., on frontispiece and title, and many notes in his hand throughout, stamped calf, back of original calf binding laid on 8vo. John Grismond for Nathanael Brooke, 1656 preserved in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. Peter Collinson, naturalist and antiquary (1694-1768) to whom the book formerly belonged, was a North American merchant and a correspondent of Benjamin Franklin.
