J This edition, in the various catalogues before-mentioned, generally sells from 17. to 1/. 5s. There are many charl-mux copies so be found: one in Mr, Evans’s Cat. 1800, elegant, in hog's skin, 51. 5s. three in Mr. Egerton’s Cat. 1801, from two to three guineas ; one in Mr. White’s Cat. 1801, 3 vol. at 41. 4s. In Mr. White’s Cat. 1801, this elegant edition, with plates, is marked at the reasonable sum of Pis. In the same Cat. the edition of Horace, by Sandby, 2 vol. Pulch. is marked 1/. 4s. The Terence, 2 vol. at 6s. The Ju- venal and Persius, complete the set by Sandby. In Mr. Evans’s Cat. 1800, these beautiful editions, 7 vol. large paper, morocco, gilt leaves, are valued at 41. 4s. ** << This edition,” says Dr. Harwood, “ is now scarce;—it is beauti- fully printed, has beautiful engravings, and very judicious notes : but the- Latin text, in the Georgies especially, is very incorrectly printed. It has- been te-published 1778 ; and the title says, this second edition is more correct than the former.” ft One of the most correct editions of Virgil ever published.
