![Resolved that the following REPORT* of the Superintendent be printed and circu¬ lated. To the Committee of Visitors Gentlemen, The number of Patients received into this Asylum in the year 1861 (Males 75 Females 73, Total 148,) is in excess of the usual number. The average number of admissions, in five years, has been 141 in each year. The number of persons re-admitted within 12 months of their discharge (nine) is not large in compari¬ son with previous years; and the number of those who had been in the Asylum in former years is about as usual, (fourteen) The # Rule 25—[of the General Rules of the Asylum.] The Superintendent shal submit to the Committee of Visitors, at their first meeting after the Oxfordshire Epiphany Quarter Sessions annually, a Report in writing, of the general condition of the Asylum, and the number and character of the Patients 5 distinguishing the numbers who have been received and discharged as cured ; the number of re-ad- missions 5 the number employed, and in what manner ; the deaths which have occurred in the preceding year, and also the total number of discharges, cures, and deaths since the opening of the Institution, and specifying the sexes in each statement 5 with such other farits as the Superintendent may think desirable, or which the Visitors may have suggested.](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b30303886_0005.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
