In computing the value of a for the fortnightly tide the factor (1 —-|e2) which occurs therein was treated as being equal to unity; since |e2=‘00754, it follows that the [aa], which would be found from the numbers given in the table, must be multiplied by (1 —‘01508), and the [Aa] and [Ba] by (1--00754).
