II Old and recent adhesions of both pleurae; both lungs congested at bases; cheesy nodules throughout upper lobes, less plentiful in lower lobes; no cavities; heart hypertrophied; aorta atheromatous. Peritoneum studded with tubercles, in lower part of abdo¬ men inflamed and adherent, and the tubercles very soft; coats of intestines thickened, softened, and . discoloured; matted together; ulcers in caecum; liver adherent by its capsule. Cretaceous concretions in right pleurae; lungs very much congested and quite black in co¬ lour ; both sides ef heart full of clot; aorta slightly atheromatous.
