See Acne cachecticorum. Acne Sebacea. See Seborrlioea. Acne Syphilitica. See Pustular sypliiloderm. Acne Telangiectodes. This was first described ]>y Kaposi. According to W. Pick’ it occurs most often symmetrically on the face. It is also met with on the scalp, neck, chest, axilke, arms, especially on the fiexor surface, fingers, palms, knees, })cnis, and scrotum. The eruption is of ])apular character. The papules are very small and deep-lying, and attached to the skin. The skin over them is either unaltered, or slightly pigmented, or scaly. Some of the lesions are su])erficially seated, violet, brownish-red, or Iwight-red, from pin-head to pea size, with flattened or sunken centres. The small papules are hard ; the large ones are elastic. The lesions may be close together, but do not coalesce. Many lesions on the face appear translucent under pressure with glass due to the presence of a small amount of clear serum in the ])a])ules. Some lesions become pustular, or crusted with a yellowish or broAvnish crust, which, when it falls, leaves a shar])ly cut scar like that of acne varioliformis. On the extremi- ties there may be also hard, round papules Avith smooth and glistening or finely scaly surface, or depressed scars. On the backs of the hands and the flexor surfaces of the fingers occur flat, livid papules, that become broAvnish under pressure. On the face the lesions take fi’om one to two Aveeks to disappear. On the limbs the course is sloAver and pus- tules are rare. The course of the disease is chronic. * Archiv f. Dermat. ii.
