The number of children who were voluntarily cleansed at the school clinics was similar to that for 1958. Home Visiting It was decided during the year to have more frequent contact with the parents of verminous children with a view to teaching them personal hygiene in their own homes. The number of home visits for this purpose was therefore increased from 3,154 in 1958 to 4,544 in 1959, and the result at the end of the year was a decrease in the number of individual children found unclean.
