I have pleasure in presenting the Annual Iho Hegis'',rar General* s figures indicate a population of 4,8C0 an increase of 20 oanpared vv'ith last year. There were 57 live births in the District during the year compared with 52 last year, and the adjusted birth rate of 12,47 1,000 population compares with a national birth rate of 17*1 per 1,000 population. 67 deaths occurred during the year compared with 59 last year and an adjusted death rate of 12o98 per 1,000 papulation cciripares with a national death rate of 11,5 per 1,000 population^ The causes of death followed the usual patt^-rn. Once again, very few cases of infectious diseases were notified during the year, Jo n Oil‘.ring sewage disposal, work on the Primrose Valley scheme was nearing completion at the time of va’iting, and instructions have been given to the Council's Engineer to prepare schemes for the sewering of the two areas, Hunmahb]^ Gap and Koyal Oak, giving priority to the former.
