![RAG FLOCK AND OTHER FILLING MATERIALS ACT, 1951 The Rag Flock and Other Filling Materials Act, 195i, forbids the use of filling materials to which the Act applies for such purposes as upholstery and the stuffing of bedding, toys and baby carriages except on premises registered by a local authority. There are 19 premises registered under the Act, in the Rural District 0 Standards of cleanliness of filling materia]s are given by regulations and penalties are prescribed for using unclean materials. During the year samples of rag flock were collected and submitted to the prescribed analyst for examination. All samples were found to conform to the prescribed standard of cleanliness, OFFICES SHOPS AND RAILWAY PREMISES ACT 1963 1st Annual Report by the Chief Public Health Inspector This Act enabled regulations to be made for securing the health, safety and welfare of people, estimated to number eight million, who, are employed in one million shops, offices and railway premises. Provision is made for the registration of premises and matters relating to cleanliness, overcrowding, tem- perature, lighting, sanitary conveniences, washing facili- ties, drinking water, accommodation for clothing, facili- ties for sitting and eating.
