![End (fol. 1644): التصوف هو الوقوف ge الاداب الشرعية ظاهرًا وباطنا وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد وعلى وصحبه وسلم For other copies of this recension see Cairo 11 78, 711 36. It was printed at Cairo in 1276/1859 (see Sarkis 1131). Pee hor 4313. 1380 rubrications; illuminated frontispiece and ‘un- wan; slightly worm-eaten and water-stained; first few folios rather damaged by damp; double margins ruled in red throughout; copyist, Ah- mad al-Qasharni (?); dated Tuesday 8 Jumada II 1430/1727. [DELHI 1844] al-Kibrit al-ahmar. An elegant copy of the well-known work of the same ‘Abd al-Wahhab al-Sha‘rani (or al-Sha‘rawi). This work, of which the full title is الكبريت الاحمر فى بيان علوم الشي الاكبر (fol. 24), is, as Ahlwardt has shown (111 105), and as the author himself states (fol. 26), an abstract of the same author’s لواقع الانوار , itself an epitome of الفتوحات المكية of Ibn [al-]‘Arabi (see No. 1280). The present work was completed (fol. 225) on Sunday 21 Ramadan 942/1535. aa كتابٌ من كتابي امير بلواقع الانوار ans} nett الذى كنت اختصرته من الفتوحات المكية. . . وقى نينا ae oan اللانييا والمرش ل 00 . هذا we Pee oes الاحمر فيل Sup ate فاقول وبالله التوفيق قال (fol. 44)... [SYS] is الشيخ رحمه الله فى الباب الثاني من الفتوحات قوله تعال es The author proceeds to outline the theo- sophical system of Ibn [al-]‘Arabi, with 175 copious extracts from ,الفتوحات المكية re- ferring to each extract by the number of the chapter in which it occurs. (اليواقيت Hi. Kh. v 9747, 11207. 1381 Foll. 49-68; 64x 4 in.; ll. 11; elegant naskhi; rubrications; new margins, ruled in red and black, fitted around old script; worm-eaten; some leaves much discoloured; 16th century. [DELHI Persian 10964] al-Hagqiqah al-Muhammadiyah. A summary of the doctrines of Sifism, showing them to be in harmony with the tenets of orthodox Islam. The name of the author is not mentioned in this copy; but in the commentary on this work (see next number) he is stated to be Wajih al-Din ibn Nasr Allah [‘Alawi of Gujerat].
