This gives us a: death i-ale per million of the population of 425 which compares un-- favourahly with the figure for p]ngland and Wales which is 364, hid is an improvement on the figure of 564 for the previous year. The climate in Clacton is reputed to be beneficial to those- with chest complaints and, no doubt, this reputation attracts ai numlier of sufferers from Pulmonary Tuberculosis from less salu- brious parts of the Country. Ten new cases were notified during the year. One of the tragedies of this disease is that the greatest inci- dence occurs in the age group from fifteen to forty-five; the majority occurring within the twenty-five to thirty-five years group.](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b2911293x_0034.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
