    The “Attache” Dry Cell Galvanic Battery (Registered Design) The ‘Attache’ Galvanic Battery has many advantages over the old type of dry cell battery with its heavy wood case. The principal features are the weight of the ‘“Attache”’ Galvanic Battery is only 12 lbs., and the life of the dry cell is considerably longer than that of the old type. The dry cells employed are specially constructed and are of the “block” type having the advantage of being very easily replaced. There are 32 cells connected in series and sealed in Bitumen. There are only two connections to be made. The current is controlled by means of a potentiometer which has a resistance of 5000 ohms., and which permits perfectly smooth graduation from zero to the maximum amount of current required. This is a great advantage over the old type of battery with cell selecting studs which increase the current in small jerks. The Galvanometer registers 0 to 5 milliamps and is fitted with a short switch to increase the range to 50 or 500 milliamps.
