Capsella barsa pastoris (Shepherd's purse)

Shows small white flowers and heart shaped green seed pods on erect stems. Leaves may be used in salads. Used for stopping uterine haemorrhages and in homeopathy for treating nose-bleeds and urinary stones. Used at one time as a replacement for quinine to treat malaria. Also called Mother's Heart.
