![Cockerniouth Urban District Council To the Chairman and Members of the Cockermouth Urban District Council. Mr. Chairman and Gentlemen, I have the honour to submit my third Annual Report as Medical Officer of Health to the Cockermouth Urban District Council. A full account of the many and varied types of work undertaken in the year is included, mainly in statistical form. The Poliomyelitis epidemic in neighbouring areas caused some alarm but the expected spread to this district did not materialise. My thanks are again due to Mr. M. M. Dixon, Surveyor and Public Health Inspector, for his continued co-operation and help. 1 would also like to ex]3ress my appreciation of the continued help given to me by the Clerk to the Council and bis staff and the kindness shown to me by the Members of the Council.
