E^VERY body that conhders the feveral mi- j nerals that are contained in the waters ot Spa, will eafily grant that they are of a warming and drying Nature, tho’ at the fame time they are adtually cold and moift, and daily experience fhews us that they often produce contrary efiedis, particularly in women afflidted with divers di- ftempers proceeding either from the fuppreffion or too great flux of the Menfes, in both which cafes, the difmal confequences of which are well known, thefe waters are a moft powerful remedy, yield¬ ing to no other whatfoever, of which many ex^ amples might be given.
