This report of the destruction of the Jewish quarter in Cairo during the riots of 1735 was translated from the Spanish by Antonio de Oliveyra. Amzalak refers to the similarity of title and text of this Relagam, with another which bears the date 1755 [See No. 122 of this catalogue], both reports being the subject- matter of a short essay published by him, under the title of ‘‘ Uma Relacam do Seculo XVIII em Portugues sobre Historia de Israel, 1923,’’ to see No. 198 of this catalogue.
